Notice is hereby given that the Gibson County Election Commission will meet in the Election Commission office for a regular meeting, located on the 1st floor of the Courthouse, on Thursday, September 17 at 3:45pm. The following business is on the agenda:
1. Approve Novemebr 3, 2026 ballot
2. Set Early voting hours and locations for November 3 election
3. Discuss pets in the polling locations
4. Appoint machine technicians and auxiliary technicians

TO THE VOTERS OF GIBSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE: You are hereby notified that a GENERAL ELECTION, VARIOUS MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS, and VACANCY FOR CONSTABLE DISTRICTS 7 and 10 will be held in all voting precincts in Gibson County, TN on November 3, 2026.
County vacancy for Constable, Districts 7 and 10: Independent petitions are being issued now until September 9, 2026 @ Noon. These petitions can be picked up at the
Gibson County Election Commission office.

TO THE VOTERS OF GIBSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE: You are hereby notified that FEDERAL AND STATE GENERAL elections will be held in all voting precincts in Gibson County, Tennessee on:
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2026
Polling locations will be open 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
FEDERAL AND STATE elections will be held to ELECT candidates for the following offices:
· Governor
· Representative for U.S. House of Representatives, 8th Congressional District
· Representative for Tennessee House of Representatives, House District 79 AND 82
ELECTIONS WILL ALSO BE HELD FOR THE FOLLOWING MUNICIPAL AND SPECIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT OFFICES IN GIBSON COUNTY:
· City of Bradford, Mayor and 3 Aldermen
· City of Dyer, 4 Aldermen
· City of Kenton, Mayor, 6 Aldermen, and City Judge
· City of Medina, 2 Aldermen
· City of Milan, 4 Aldermen (One from each Ward 1-4)
· City of Trenton, Mayor, and 6 Aldermen
· Town of Gibson, Mayor and 2 Aldermen
· Milan SSD, two positions outside the city limits, and Ward 1 inside city limits
QUALIFYING DEADLINE FOR OFFICES LISTED ABOVE
THURSDAY, AUGUST 20, 2026 – 12:00 NOON
*Independent candidates for federal and state offices must qualify by March 10, 2026 – 12:00 noon also*

THURSDAY, AUGUST 27, 2026 – 12:00 NOON
Notice is also given for voters with disabilities or elderly voters, whose polling place is inaccessible. They have the right to vote early or on Election Day at the Election Commission Office. To vote at the Election Commission office on Election Day, the voter shall complete an affidavit no less than ten (10) days prior to the first election in which they wish to vote. The deadline for filing the affidavit falls on July 27, 2026.
