TO THE VOTERS OF GIBSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE: You are hereby notified that FEDERAL AND STATE PRIMARY elections and GIBSON COUNTY GENERAL elections will be held in all voting precincts in Gibson County, Tennessee on:
THURSDAY, AUGUST 6, 2026
Polling locations will be open 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
FEDERAL AND STATE PRIMARY elections will be held to nominate candidates for their respective parties for the following offices:
· Governor
· Representative for U.S. House of Representatives, 8th Congressional District
· Representative for Tennessee House of Representatives, Districts 79 and 82
· State Executive Committeeman, Senate District 24
· State Executive Committeewoman, Senate District 24
ELECTIONS WILL ALSO BE HELD FOR THE FOLLOWING MUNICIPAL AND SPECIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT OFFICES IN GIBSON COUNTY:
· Bradford Special School District, 2 trustees at large
· Gibson County Special School District, District 3 trustee
· Kenton Special School District, Gibson County trustee and Obion County trustee
· City of Trenton, Court Clerk Position

THURSDAY, March 10, 2026 – 12:00 NOON
*Independent candidates for federal and state offices must qualify by April 7, 2022 – 12:00 noon also*
WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE FOR OFFICES LISTED ABOVE
THURSDAY, March 17, 2026 – 12:00 NOON
A COUNTY GENERAL election will be held for all county offices: Mayor, all County Commission seats, Trustee, Sheriff, Circuit Court Clerk, County Clerk, Register of Deeds, and all Constable positions. The qualifying deadline for these county offices is Noon, February 19, 2026.
Notice is also given for voters with disabilities or elderly voters, whose polling place is inaccessible. They have the right to vote early or on Election Day at the Election Commission Office. To vote at the Election Commission office on Election Day, the voter shall complete an affidavit no less than ten (10) days prior to the first election in which they wish to vote. The deadline for filing the affidavit falls on July 27, 2026.
